Online Bill Payment Vendor Change!

The Town of Wellesley transitioned to a new online payment vendor  -  City Hall Systems  - for Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills in September of 2024.  

If you have not already done so, and wish to pay your tax bills online, you must create a new account with City Hall Systems . The Town cannot transfer your information from one vendor to another.

How to Pay

With City Hall Systems, you may pay bills:

  • By credit card, debit card, or echeck using your computer or mobile device from the Town website or at https://epay.cityhallsystems.com
  • Over the phone by calling the City Hall Systems Payment Line at (508) 381-5456 and make secure payments through knowledgeable customer service representatives who speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. 
  • In-person at the Wellesley Treasurer's office located at Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Floor 1. 

Mission Statement

The office of Treasurer/Collector is responsible for the receipt, investment and disbursement of all Town funds. The mission is to achieve these responsibilities while providing the highest level of customer service and support to all of the Town's constituencies (i.e. taxpayers, employees, retirees, and vendors), as well as satisfy the legal requirements set forth in Massachusetts General Laws and the Town's bylaws.


Responsibilities

The office issues and collects over 34,000 bills annually for real estate tax, personal property tax and motor vehicle excise tax. This office is also responsible for collecting all utility payments, parking tickets, issuing Municipal Lien Certificates and maintaining all tax title and tax deferral records.

The office is responsible for the disbursement of Town vendor and payroll funds. It maintains all records for and properly disburses the Town's various tax obligations.  The Treasurer/Collector's office is also responsible for the cash management and the investment of town funds, administration of the town's trust funds, and for the issuance and management of all Town debt obligations.  The Town Treasurer also serves as the custodian of tax title property.
